Train travel from Geneva to Osnabruck, Germany

Please tell me the best way to take a train from Geneva to Osnabruck Germany. We need to arrive around 4PM if possible to attend a meeting. One of us is from the EU, one is not.
Thanks, a grateful senior.

You can leave Geneva at 06:14. Depending upon the route you choose, you will arrive in Osnabrueck at either 15:21 or 15:23. Or leave at 07:14 and arrive at 16:21. Whichever time you choose will require making three connections. See the detailed timetables on the German Rail site. Book your tickets on that site ASAP ( up to 92 days allowed) to get the lowest discount fare.

Hi, If you could do this day trip on the day prior to your meeting, stay the night in Osnabrück, or even Hannover, you would not have to take such an early train. Is that possible? You could do this route that only involves transfering twice. The night train option: Take the IC train Geneva to Hannover Hbf. You change in Basel (all Swiss trains going to Germany go through Basel) to the CNL dep. 22:12, arrive in Hannover Hbf. at 0630, then change to an IC direct to Osnabrück. All three legs are on the IC and CNL. If this is possible for you timewise, I would suggest that. I've done that Hannover Hbf. to Osnabrück Hbf. route. Back then you had to transfer at Herford.
