Does anyone have any experience with getting rail tickets during the Wimbledon tennis matches? I'm looking at the National Express website and they are holding tickets for June 7/8 and 14/15 (which isn't during Wimbledon), so I'm a little confused as to what might be going on that they are holding tickets. Thanks.
If your staying in London during the tournament you can simply take the Tube to the tennis center. District line to Wimbledon or Southfields station will get you there.
Thanks. I'm actually just going through London and was curious as to the effect that Wimbledon might have on the cost or availability of rail tickets.
There is no impact to prices during Wimbledon. As stated earlier, you can easily get to Wimbledon on the tube (Circle and District line if my memory is correct).
Now if you are coming from outside London, that is a different question.
Thanks again. I'm not interested in going to Wimbledon. I'll be traveling from London to Newcastle. Any impact on these trains?
No impact on passing through London. Wimbledon attendance is a very small bubble on the people in and through London.
