After traveling by train to Verona Italy, we found out the Brenner pass to Innsbrook is disrupted due to construction. Is the flix bus option a good alternative? This Will Take place July 31st 2026.
Only the direct trains are effected. There are plenty of trains with a single connection at Brennero. A bus may be worse as there is a long term construction project on the highway, with lanes reduced from 4 to 2 lanes and greatly reduced speed limit, resulting in backups.
That highway construction at the Brenner Pass can be a nightmare for buses. If the regional trains with a quick connection at Brennero are still running, that's likely a much more reliable bet than risking the traffic backups on the road.
