You can't get there by way of the Eurail! Eurail doesn't go anywhere, they just sell railpasses. Per their website, "there is no such thing as a Eurail train".

What is the "best" route? Fastest, least expensive, most scenic? The fastest route is from Milan to Interlaken via Domodossola, Brig, and Spiez. The most scenic might be north from Milan through the lakes and Lugano, then to Zürich and via the Brunig line into Interlaken from the east, but that would take much longer.

Hi Jackie,

If you are asking what the best routes/timetables are, people on this site usually recommend you use the Deutsche Bahn trip planner as it is easy to use and shows all the best route options. Just try searching there, and then when it shows you the options click the arrow at the left-hand side to see all the details of that trip.

Hope this helps!

Jackie,

One point to note is that Interlaken has two stations, east and west, so it's a good idea to specify which station you'll be going to when using the route planner. Is your ultimate destination Interlaken, or will you be going to the Lauterbrunnen Valley?

Cheers!
