train travel Brussels to Paris

What kind of reservation should be made for 2 people traveling from Brussels airport to Paris. Or should we just take our chances a buy a ticket on arrival. Our date of travel is May2nd and unfortunely I have discovered that is a heavily traveled holiday.

Alice - which website are you looking at? RailEurope seems to have gone crazy with the prices that day. Look at Thalys website. They have prices all day for about 82 euros. If you take the last train (22:13) it is only 50 euros. Those prices appear to be for 2 people from what I'm seeing. If you don't take the last train that day for the 50 euros, I would just wait and buy your tickets in Brussels.

The standard 2nd class fare is 82€. However, as of a moment ago some seats are still available at certain times of the day at the Spring Special fare of 41€ (50% off). Book at www.thalys.com. Choose Belgium for the country in which to pick up your tickets and English for the booking language. When you book, include ABS (any Belgian station) which will cover the ride on a regional train from the airport to the Midi/Zuid station from where you will catch a Thalys train.
