We hope to come from Trieste and understand we may be able to take a train thru the Julian Alps to Bled.
It seems that we can accomplish the train trip by going through Gorizia but that we would have to use the bus to cross the border to Nova Gorica. How do we make the bus connection? How much time is involved in the bus transit? Is the transfer time calculated into the trip as described on the train schedule?

I can see train runs on www.bahn.de (German train website) from Trieste to Bled Jezaro. 3.5hrs to 7hrs depending on the run you chosse. One train change at Gorizia Centrale. There may be a 40-min bus transfer from Gorizia Centrale to Nova Gorica before catching the train to Bled Jezero.
