Thank you Nigel, and Lola. We have been confused on the best way to save money, and get around. You both have been very helpful, and this being our first trip to Italy/Switzerland - I think we will avoid purchasing the pass.

You are very welcome. I hope you will come back and ask any questions you may have about finding those discounted tickets. The time to purchase varies, but they must be purchased in advance, from Trenitalia.
