We will be in Venice and wish to travel to Cinque Terra. How many hours does this take on the train?

Five towns make up the Cinque Terra, and they won't all take the same amount of time. According to the German Rail schedule web page, depending on the town, Venice to Cinque Terra will take about 5½-6 hrs +/-.

Carol, For travel from Venice to the Cinque Terre, the quickest trip I could find using La Spezia Centrale as the destination was 4H:58M, with two changes at Firenze SMN and Sarzana, current one-way Second Class fare at €51.30. Were you planning to do that as a day trip from Venice? Cheers!

You can either get to La Spezia or Genova (Genoa). From there you will catch a local train into the Cinque Terra.
