Train to Brugge & Amsterdam

Will be purchasing (Any Belgian Station) ticket on Eurostar from London which will go into Brussels and allow us to travel on to Brugge without purchasing another ticket to Brugge. Besides purchasing this ticket, do I need to also have reservations if not traveling 1st class? Will be traveling from Brugge to Amsterdam a few days later. Does Eurostar go to Amsterdam? Need direction on booking a train from Brugge to Amsterdam.
Thanks for any assistance

I'm not sure I completely understand all of the question, but I'll try to answer what I can. I'm not too familiar with Eurostar. "Besides purchasing this ticket, do I need to also have reservations if not traveling 1st class?" If you mean the leg from Brussels to Brugge, no. They are not required or even offered. "Does Eurostar go to Amsterdam?
Need direction on booking a train from Brugge to Amsterdam." I'm not sure where Eurostar goes, but here's the options I do know of. The cheapest train is the regular ICE service between Brussels and Amsterdam. From Brugge, you would change trains in Antwerp. One ticket covers both legs. No reservations are possible, and there are no advanced purchase discounts, so just buy the tickets on the day of travel. For a high-speed, more expensive option, book early on Thalys. This works more like an airline ticket. A ticket buys you a specific seat on a specific train (unlike the ICE, where you can take any seat on any train). Once again, you have to change trains in Antwerp. There is also a new high speed service between Brussels and Amsterdam called "Fyra", but I haven't ridden on it and don't have any further information.

There are no ICEs running between Bruxelles and Amsterdam. To travel from Brugge to Amsterdam, you don't need to go backtrack to Bruxelles. Instead, go to Antwerp and take a train from there, preferably a Thalys, which is much more comfortable and faster (1h10 faster). The Bruxelles-Brugge and Brugge-Antwerpen sectors do not require or allow reservations.

"...There is also a new high speed service between Brussels and Amsterdam called "Fyra", but I haven't ridden on it and don't have any further information..." The Fyra high-speed train between Brussels and Amsterdam isn't in service yet. It only operates Amsterdam-Schipol-Rotterdam-Breda using older equipment on the high-speed tracks.

There are no ICEs running between Bruxelles and Amsterdam. Yes, that's true. For the sake of accuracy, they are ICs, not ICEs. If you travel Brugge-Antwerpen-Amsterdam on IC trains, the 2nd class fare is €48 and the trip takes just under four hours. If you travel from Brugge to Antwerpen on an IC train and take a Thalys train from there to Amsterdam, you can make the trip in just over three hours. The standard 2nd class fare from any Belgian station to Amsterdam is €67. If you book well in advance (up to 90 days allowed) at thalys.com, you can get an ABS (any Belgian station) fare as low as €34. So if you can commit well in advance to a specific departure date and time for the Thalys leg, you will pay less than taking IC trains all the way.

"There are no ICEs running between Bruxelles and Amsterdam." OK, then, whatever that slower train with the red and pink paint scheme is called that goes between Brussel Zuid and Amsterdam Centraal, and stops in Mechelen, Antwerp, Roosendaal, Den Haag and Rotterdam!

Thanks so much for the replies. Looks like from Brugge I take the local IC train to Antwerp and from there I can catch the Thalys. I plan to book it as soon as it allows me to for a cheaper ticket. No reservations or need to purchase the ticket ahead from Brugge to Antwerp. Need a ticket and reservation for the Thalys from Antwerp to Amsterdam.
