I avoid the TGV web site, but as I understand it they only show Grande Vitesse trains. Rouen is not on a TGV route.

So if you want to book in advance you will have to master the horrible SNCF web site.

The trip you are interested in involves a trip across pars from one train station to another.

Rouen is charming, have fun there.

Sherrol....when you go onto the TGV-Europe website, simply selected "Great Britain" as the place you'll be getting your tickets, and proceed from there. All the regular French trains will be available to you for booking. Simply select the option to pick up your tickets at a French railway station, bring along the credit card you used and the confirmation e-mail, and you're ready to roll. DO NOT select ticket insurance...if you do, you will have to enter your Australian home address, and that will likely kick you over to the raileurope.com.au site, where you'll pay more.

Sheroll, You got the SNCF French version because you did not change the country to which you want the tickets sent from "France" to any other country. It is not necessary to select Australia or any country other than France because you can pay on-line with a credit card and pick up the tickets at any SNCF office including that at CDG, OR, you can print them on your home computer using Adobe. It is true that the ordering instructions are in French but the program is logically constructed so you can accurately guess at what the procedure is. There are two offerings (such as the insurance) which you've already been advised to forgo. Also, check the "bons plans" section to look for what are called "prems". These are deep discounts on certain trains. I think the SNCF currently is offering a 2nd class ticket Paris to Nice for 19euro. That is remarkable. Respond if you need specific information on getting through the French section of the ordering procedure. I will try to help.

D.D....as mentioned, if she switches to Great Britain, she won't need to try to master the French...it's the same website. And only certain tickets are available to print out at home. The credit card is to identify her as the ticket holder when picking up the tickets she's already purchased at the ticket window.
