We purchased our tickets online for Rome to Venice and have a print out..how do we convert it to a ticket and validate? We are in Rome and will be traveling on Saturday morning
Your email print out should have a 6-digit PNR code and an internet scan icon. That's it. That's all you need. This print out should also have your seat assignments. Just board the train and find your seats. The conductor carries a PDA and inputs your 6-digit code and Bob's your uncle (I just love this British idiom that means "That's it"). No other ticket needed. No validation needed. We are experiencing some travelers posting that they do have an email but it doesn't have the PNR code. Instead, it has a retrieval code. Let us know if this is all you have. You have more work to do to get your PNR code.
We have 6traveling and had to do purchase twice so have two emails...one has a scan code and the other just a PNR code...what should we do?
The 6-digit PNR code is your ticket. The conductor inputs the 6-digits into his wireless PDA and that's it.
