Has anyone take the train from Taormina-Giardini to Palermo, Sicily with a layover in Messina Central. I have taken many trains in Europe, but always had at least 40 minutes between trains. I have never been to Messina train station so I am just concerned that with luggage and trying to get to figure out which platform and then getting to it that it might be a little tight- any suggestions or tips?
There will be three of us- all early 40s- each will have one carry on suitcase and one back pack.

Should be plenty of time. I have had ten minute connections there.
