Train station from Rome to Venice

Traveling with senior citizens. Should we use Roma Termini or Roma Ostiense? Do both train stations have trains that go directly to Venice? My husband thinks we should use Roma Ostiense. He says it is smaller and would be easier for us to negotiate. We will be traveling to room, by private transfer, from the cruise port in Civitavecchia. Thanks.

If you use Trenitalia you need to use Roma Termini. If you use ItaloTreno you can use either Roma Tiburtina or Roma Ostiense. Italo treno to Venice stops in both stations: Ostiense first, then, next stop, Roma Tiburtina.

Your husband is correct that Ostiense is smaller and easier to use but you have to get there. The train from Civit.. takes you to Termini but private transfer will take you where ever you want. It just depends on the train schedule you want to keep. Termini has the most frequent schedules to Venice. You asked the same question earlier.
