Train station at Salerno

Hi,

I am planning to take the SITA bus service from Sorrento to Salerno. I would like to get down in Positano and Amalfi coast on the way to Salerno. I dont know if there is anything to see in Positano but I want to get down , take some pictures and board the bus. How long is the journey to Salerno from Sorrento ?

Also, once I reach Salerno,will the SITA bus drop me near the Piazza Garibaldi station as I need to board a train to Rome from Salerno ?

Does the bus stop near the main station in Salerno so I can catch a train to Rome from there ?

Sunray,
I think you will switch buses at Amalfi. The bus from Amalfi to Salarno drops you off in front of the train station (at least it did a coupole of years ago when I used it)
