train schedules in London

Where would I get a complete carry timestable for the train lines for travel in London. My husband & I found it very cofusing trying to find our way around on our own. Thank goodness for the many Londoners who cheerfully helped us out. We felted restricted with the limited amount of information we could gather. It would have been great if we could have the complete set to study and plan our travel path. We were staying with friends in Bromley Close area. We were the country mice visiting the HUGE city!!

The National Rail site has timetables and maps for service on trains between London and outlying areas like Bromley.

I find it difficult to completely understand your question. Are you asking for something that already happened or are you planning a trip? a complete carry timestable for the train lines for travel in London I don't get that one. There is Travel For London (TfL) who have a website covering all of the 6 zones of Underground, bus, and tram in London. There are 27 independent train companies, most of which serve London. They all produce separate timetables, usually several booklets each for only one or two lines or parts of lines. National Rail used to produce a complete book, running to several thousand pages of very thin paper - all the information is now at the website posted above. What exactly are you looking for, Rosemarie?
