train schedules in Italy

I am trying to find schedules from Capalbio Italy to Rome Italy. Does anyone know where to find this? I've not been successful in getting in to the Trenitalia site

Trenitalia has been misbehaving lately. You can use bahn.de or rail.ch ( the Swiss site) to find the schedules. I just checked and there are several direct trains each day. The journey takes about an hour and a half.

See the link below for a typical train schedule from Capalbio to Rome. http://gyazo.com/80ed3061d2adfcbf0acfede629f8381e You can easily buy your train tickets in Italy. The train runs are all on Regionale Veloche trains. No seat reservations permitted. The Regionale trains are like local buses. You buy your ticket, validate it in the little yellow box in the train station, get on and then find your seat. If no seat, you can stand. You can usually find a seat. In general, you can't buy these tickets online more than 7 days out. Within 7 days, you can but you may be traveling. As you can see by my link, I could buy these tickets right now but look at the date - it's 2 days from now. Don't worry. Buy your tickets in Italy.

One thing that threw me off when using the Trenitalia site is that, even when you are using the English portion, they still require you to use the Italian spelling of the cities. Rome is Roma, Florence is Firenze, and etc. Make sure you are using the official Italian spelling of the names, and see if that helps. -Bill

There is frequent direct regional train service all day long from Capalbio to Rome. However, the Trenitalia site only shows timetables for regional trains up to seven days in advance. Enter a date within the next few days and you'll get complete timetables. Or go to the German Rail site which has detailed timetables for virtually all of Europe.
