First time train traveler in Italy. On the Trenitalia website some of the transfers are listed as "Change" and others are listed as "Gearbox". Is there a difference between the two?
Thanks
I suspect you are using the google translated version of trenitalia.com and not the English version you can find at www.trenitalia.com/en.html
Sometimes you must turn the auto-translate off to force Google to stop being helpful.
I have never seen that. Just make sure you are using the English site. Check the British flag in the upper right hand corner.
You have never seen that because you use the English version of trenitalia.com and not the Google translated one. The Italian word "cambio" means both "change/transfer" and "gearbox".
That is interesting. Learn something everyday. I can see how change and gearbox could be related or similar.
Thank you for the help. It is good to know that it is just a translation issue. I am sure there will be many more to follow😊
One of the intermediate stops on the Malpensa Express comes up as "They will be". Turn off google translate and it is Saronno.
