Train schedule and travel from Bordeaux to San Sebastian, Spain, on May 14.

First question:
On the DB Bahn site it says at the bottom of schedule "runs not every day, 1., 8., 14. May."

Yet Bahn displays a schedule for the trip on May 14.
So how do you interpret the not every day--days listed are yes or no?

2) The SCNF.com site won't accept San Sebastian as a destination. Why? I'll eventually have to purchase a reserved seat as we are traveling on a global Eurail pass (yes the pass is good for our itinerary).

I changed the trip on SCNF to Bordeaux to Irun Spain, but it bumps me to Rail Europe when I try to buy and rail Europe doesn't show an early train that Bahn has.

The Eurail planning site shows trips lasting 50hrs from Bordeaux to Irun.

3) LOCO2, which is new to me doesn't show a schedule between Bordeaux and San Sebastian either. BTW, I've lots of reserved seats to purchase, has anyone experience with using LOCO2?

4)Can you get Renfe to display timetables in English?

5) There must be a regional solution?
Two years ago I thought booking Italian trains was difficult, much to learn, now, and all help is appreciated.

Plus:
Rail Europe's interactive map isn't working for me as of yesterday (been using the convenient map to plan for years? Last evening it appeared that rail Europe may be introducing a new interactive site which was very cumbersome, but strangely, today the old map shows up, but only colored dots appear, nothing else and no I don't use Rail Europe for purchases.

Is there another interactive train map?

When DB displays a schedule for the date you requested, it always does apply to that date. The other notes may be less clear. In this case, it only runs on May 1, 8, and 14.

French trains don't run to San Sebastian. You can go back to http://www.sncf.com/en/passengers and request either Irun or Hendaye. But note that the site may not take some US credit cards and may not offer the PayPal option for this route; try once more. Otherwise, at Rail Europe or CapitaineTrain, you would also only book as far as Irun or Hendaye.

I don't know what you're trying to use the map for, but you can see train lines on Google Maps, in most guidebooks, or at http://www.eurail.com/sites/eurail.com/files/documents/eurail_map_2015.pdf. I would not use their timetable app. It's based on DB technology, but I would just use DB (for schedules, not purchases outside of Germany).

Renfe.com will display some English if you click on "Welcome" in English, but at some point it will always revert back to Spanish. To see Irun-Hendaye-San Sevastian schedules, use the local service at http://www.visithendaye.com/en/page/eusko-tren-topo.

Thanks Laura,
You have helped a lot and the local train schedule should also be great once we arrive.

I've used that interactive map on RE because it's a good visual planning tool, let's you estimate times between places easily as you move the map around. Odd, it stopped working on my Macbook pro yesterday, but since I posted, it is working on my 15 year-old-Dell PC.

Thanks to you I can now move on down into Spain, Pamplona, Burgos, Vitoria......:)
