Which is the best site to book reservations online for special trains, night trains and the fast trains in Austria and Italy from the USA. We have global passes. I've read different opinions. Thanks

Best is subjective. But, if you want to know the site where you will spend the most money, it's RailEurope. Unfortunately, sometimes it is the only site. However, in Austria, I'd first try the Austrian Rail website, www.oebb.at. They have the lowest prices; RailEurope takes their prices and marks them up. A lot of night trains are actually City Night Line trains. You might be able to get reservations on www.cnl.ch. Lastly, you might find advance reservations for Italian trains on the Trenitalia website. But, in most cases, except for night trains, just get them at the station in Europe.
