Hello, Two questions re: Western Europe train travel. Currently living in Ireland for three months and am planning a two week train trek through Spain/France/Italy. Have Eurorail pass and want to make train reservations for a few legs to meet time schedules, but raileurope site won't deliver to my address here in Dublin. Any options for buying these reservations another way? How critical is it to get train reservations for late May travel? Itinerary from May 20-June 5 and includes: Barcelona-Montpellier-Nice-Genoa-5 Terre-Pisa-Roma. Thanks in advance. Melinda Hohlbein
p.s. I live in Seattle, have been to many of Rick's presentations on Italy, use his silk travel pouch and have all his guides for Ireland and these other countries. Fantastic. If you guys need any more travel guides, ring me up!
You should have no problem getting seat reservations the day of travel at that time of year.
Make them at the train stations the day you want to travel. As Frank says you shouldn't have any trouble getting them.
Thanks to you both for the replies and the help. Simplifies things greatly. Best, Melinda
