Hello, My husband and I are travelling to Portugal next month and we are having difficulty obtaining reserved seats are trains. In the past we have always been able to get a reserved seat in other countries. Is Portugal first come, first serve? Are the trains packed in the summer? Thank you.

You are using 'reserved'. I do not know what countries you have been to in the past but I will be surprised it is possible these days.
