Hi I'm traveling to Europe this July with my mom and sister, and I'm not sure whether or not to get reservations for our trains. Here are the details:
1. We have a Eurail Select Pass and will be traveling from London to Bruges, to Reutte, to Gimmelwald, to Arles, to Paris, and then back to London.
2. We already have our Eurostar tickets for between London and Bruges and Paris to London.
3. We have hotel reservations already so we can not be delayed.
4. Our trip is over the course of 3 weeks.
5. We would like the cheapest reservation fees possible.
How far ahead to you think we will need to get our reservations? Could we make all the reservations at a train station in London if that would give us enough time? Should we reserve the Thalys train before we get to Europe since I heard it sells out and we will be traveling in the high season and it is near the beginning of our journey?
Sorry I have so many questions! Thanks
Since the UK does not honor Eurail passes, it may not be possible for you to make train reservations at a London station. (But I'm only guessing here.) For free and friendly advice, call the experts at Budget Europe Travel Service, 800-441-9413 or 800-441-2387.
