Train Reservation with rail pass from US

We have EuRail rail passes, and want to reserve Rail Jet seats on-line before arriving in Europe. Can't seem to find a site. Can it be done?

RailJet is an Austrian train. Online reservations, if possible, should be available on the Aurstria Rail website, www.oebb.at. Put in the start and destination, date, and time. If it shows the train you want, click "Ticket and preise", the following screen will have some fare info, click "buchen". On the next screen, it will have a field for "NUR Sitzplatzreservierung" (seat reservation only). Follow instructions from there. If you change the language to English in the first place, you won't need my translation.

Thank you, but the problem I'm having is that I don't get the option for "Seat Reservation Only" as you and I expect. I am looking at the English page - didn't see it in German either.

You never said from, to, date, time, so I had to guess. I picked a RailJet from Salzburg to Vienna on Aug 18, leaving at 9:01. On the subsequent pages I se.lected "seat reservation only" and got as far as the point that I had to enter my credit card number. I'm not going to do that. Did you? What happened? There might be a problem if you are trying to reserve a seat to/from a destination outside of Austria.

You do know that reservations are optional but not required for that train? Are you traveling First Class with your pass? Unless you are on a peak Oktoberfest train to Munich I would be astonished if you can't just walk on and have your choice of many seats.

You might be on to something, Lee. The trip would be from Munich to Vienna.
Thanks for the encouragement, Nigel. We are probably too concerned about getting the train we prefer. There is another later, though. The passes are first class. Thanks, guys. You are a lot of help on this site...
