Train or Fly in Europe?

I am trying to save cost when going to Europe, should I look into Flying or Train travel? I have my flight to Dublin already booked....but stumped on how to get to Europe from there with out going broke! I will be in London, Paris, Munich, Austria and Italy. I will be traveling with my daughter who is 18 and do you know anything about the saver passes?
