we (family of 2adult/2teens) will be returning to paris on easter monday 04/25/11 (not the best planning) from Sarlat. We are considering driving back? How is traffic into Paris on a holiday? How bad is bad?We will be dropping off the car into gare montparnasse and metro into downtown.
Suggestions?

I would expect it to be horrendous. Traffic into Paris on a Sunday afternoon is always awful, is my experience. A holiday delays it a day. Have a look at what the crazy buffalo (French government) has to say at

Nah, You've only got a half-mile on the peripherique until you get off at Porte d'Orleans, then one traffic circle to get on Ave du Maine. The Hertz joint is less than a mile ahead on your right - - I think the other places are all in the same area. Edit: Hmm, maybe I oughta defer to Nige since his link shoots me twixt the eyes.
