I need help with scheduling two train rides. I need to go from Vernazza to Grindelwald on a Friday an Grindelwald to Munich on a Sunday.
Any help/advice would be helpful.

What kind of help? Go to bahn.com for schedule info. What are you asking? How to schedule, when to schedule, who to schedule, What ????

Interestingly, www.bahn.de will show you the routing and time but they won't sell you a ticket because the trip doesn't begin or end in Germany. Second, if you try to buy the Vernazza/Grindelwald ticket in Italy, the Italian train system cannot see beyond Interlaken Ost. They cannot see Grindelwald. In Italy, simply buy a ticket from Vernazza to Interlaken Ost. Once there, buy your ticket on the next Jungfraubahn train to Grindelwald. They are local trains and they depart every 30 minutes. The Interlaken Ost train station is a small train station - you won't have difficulties negotiating this train change.

He's right that you won't get Vernazza to Grindelwald online from the Bahn because the trip is entirely outside of Germany. However, you can buy Grindelwald to Munich online from the Bahn, and if you book practically when the tickets come out 92 days in advance, you can get a €39 Europa-Spezial fare.
