Train Italy

When is the best time to book intercity train tickets from Rome to Sicily? Will there be a big difference in price if we buy the tickets 3 days before, as opposed to 60 days before?

Jennie, you can by Economy and Super Economy tickets 60 days in advance for this journey. Great fares. Just be aware that the Economy fares are non-refundable and the Super Economy fares are both non-refundable and non-exchangeable. In buying these tickets, you are locked in to traveling on a specific train departing on a specific date and time. But, if you plan well, this is a great bargain. If you can book 90 days out, I see a few 19E fares. If you can book out 119 days, I see several 19E fares. If you wait until 3 days before, it's most likely you will pay the ordinary full fare of 63Euro.
