Train into Paris, plane out of Paris - logistics

Hi, everyone. Will be in Paris next month. :-)

We arrive by train to Gare du Nord 8:30 PM local time. What is the most efficient and quickest mode of transit to the Odeon Theatre? I'm guessing the metro?

Our flight departs CDG (easyJet) at 7:55 AM local time a few days later. Any recommendations on when to leave the theatre district that morning and by which mode of transit?

Thanks in advance.

The destination of this flight will influence the advice you get; (i.e., Schengen vs non-Schengen destination)

The more details you provide, the better the answers

easyJet has very strict check-in times so don't be late. Taxi is probably your best bet.

Or, for people like us who really dislike stressful mornings, you could check into a hotel AT the airport the late afternoon/evening before and just hop on the intra-terminal train for five minutes in the morning.
(Our go-to hotel is the Ibis ParisCDG Airport.)

Your boarding gate will be displayed on the departure board in the airport or be sent direct to your phone if you’ve downloaded our mobile app (available at the following airports). You should make your way to the gate as soon as possible. Gates close promptly 30 minutes before your departure.

The above from the easyjet site---http://www.easyjet.com/en/help/boarding-and-flying/boarding-and-on-board-services

I would be at the airport no later than 6AM to get through security. As you are going to another Schengen country, no passport control to deal with.

Gare Du Nord is a straight shot to Place de l’Odeon on the no. 4 Metro. The Theater is a couple blocks away.
You can also approach it from behind if you take the RER B to Luxembourg and walk around the gardens on the north side of the park. This is a little longer walk but faster train.

The Eurostar tends to run to time (although significant delays this week until at least the 14th for repairs after the big storm that just arrived from North America) so when they advertise that your train will arrive at 20:17 (8:17pm) that is probably when it will come to a halt and allow you off. As you step down, turn towards the front of the train and follow the herd. When you reach the front of the train you will be right in the station.

By 8:30 you should already be on the Métro or RER and well on the way to the theatre.

CDG is a large airport. Don't get there late.

And make sure you know which terminal at CDG your EasyJet flight is leaving from — there are several different buildings that all start with the name “Terminal 2” — you'll need to know which one you need.
