I've bought two reservation tickets from oebb for Venice-Salzburg. But when the tickets arrived, it only says from Villach to Salzburg. Is this normal? Do we still have our booking from Venice to Salzburg? Help! :)

OeBB is the Austrian railway and only sells tickets for that portion of the trip. You will have to buy the ticket for the Italian part at www.trenitalia.com. Depending on when you are travelling they may not have the schedule posted yet. If that is the case keep checking until they do.

I would email obb. You may have purchased an itinerary which is a bus (OBB/ICBus) from Tronchetto (parking garage in Venice) to Villach changing to an OBB train from Villach to Salzburg. What are the times? That is the fastest connection. The other connections that are all rail take longer because they go the long way with changes at Verona and Innsbruck, or are a direct night train.

Hey, thanks to everyone for the replies. I've took Jeff's advise and booked a train from Venice to Villach through the website that he gave. There are trains departing from Venezia St Lucia to Villach. We'll be arriving at Villach about two hours before our 'supposedly' reserved train from Villach to Salzburg. Oh well, better be early than sorry! :)
