My husband and I were hoping to take a train from Venice to Ljubljana on May 6 sometime around 7AM, but when we search the Trenitalia website we are only able to find one available train, departing at 21:27. Can this be the only train running, is that possible or is there a glitch? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

The Trenitalia site shows only that train because it is direct.
For all your choices, go to www.bahn.de and click on the drop-down menu in the upper right-hand corner for English. After you get summary timetables, click on "Details for all" to see the connecting points.
