Train from Venice to Florence

I was wondering if anyone has taken a train from Venice to Florence.

What timeline and price am I looking at?

Does the train head right into downtown Florence?

Done this many times. It's an easy trip. Direct trains run about every hour beginning around 8:50 a.m. fron Venice--Santa Lucia. The fastest are the Eurostar and they take about three hours. The cost: First class E44, Second class, E30. Go to the trenitalia site for more information (http://www.trenitalia.com/en/index.html)

The trains go to the main stration in Florence (Santa Maria Novella, abbreviated SMN).
