what is teh best route from Rome to Prague and what might be a good stopover spot. My kids have never been on a train so I was considering going 5-6 one day then spending the afternoon and evening somewhere and then finishing up the journey the following day. Any ideas?

Are you open to a longer ride on day one and an afternoon-into-early-evening ride on day two? If so, then you could go either Rome-Vienna (12 hours) or Rome-Munich (9 hours) on day one and either Vienna-Prague or Munich-Prague on day two. It's about a 5-hour ride from either Vienna or Munich to Prague.
