Train from Paris to Verdun

Thinking about going from Paris to the city of Verdun. How easy or difficult will it be to try this as a day trip? Thanks. TC

Thanks for the info. Actually we are more interested in the town proper since it is an early childhood residence and the spouse wants to visit it again. TC

Here are the fastest routes and the departure times that will give you the most hours in Verdun. Take a TGV from Paris to Meuse and a bus run by SNCF from there to Verdun. Depart at 08:13 and arrive at 09:52. Take the bus from Verdun to Meuse and a TGV from there to Paris. Depart at 18:02 and arrive at 19:46. When are you taking this trip? If you book well in advance (up to three months allowed), you can get a discount fare.
