I am currently in Paris, but I would like to travel to Switzerland (probably Bern) in the next day or so. I am having trouble figuring out the best train route and finding a train schedule online. Can anyone offer suggestions to help me find the best route to Switzerland and a train schedule. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Use the German Rail site to get detailed timetables for virtually anywhere in Europe.

The high-speed TGV train goes direct to Bern. But there is more frequent service to Basel, where you can connect to local trains to Bern just an hour away. For schedules use the excellent Swiss Rail site at rail.ch
