Train from Paris to London

We start our three month adventure in Europe tomorrow! With England making the semi finals for World Cup we wanted to change our schedule and go over to London from Paris for a night to watch the game in London. We have global Eurail passes. I think I saw on the blogs on the site we can use those for the trip. Do I need to make a reservation or just get tickets when we get into Paris?
