I am about to do a 2 week Germany and France trip. One leg is from Montpelier to Munich. We can't go through Switzerland. Where should I go through? Lyon? Go all the way to Paris? AGHHH!!

According to the German Rail website, the fastest way (11 hrs) from Montpelier to Munich is through Paris Lyon station. Do you really want to take a longer route to avoid Paris (AGHHH!!)?

Thanks. I just thought a more direct route would be faster. But is Paris is the fastest, I am all for it.
