I am going to ride on several trains in Italy with a Eurail pass on 26 June. The last of these trains are from Milan(20:10) to Monterosso (23:14) and from Monterosso (23:47) to Manarola (00:08). As my Eurail pass does not cover 27 June, I think I have to buy a ticket for the train to Manarola which arrives 8 minutes beyond 26 June. To avoid any uncertainty in buying the ticket at Monterosso at almost midnight, is it possible to buy the ticket at Milan?
Here's a quote from the Railpasses section on this site: "All rides must be started and completed within the validity period of the pass."
Yes, you can buy your Monterosso-Manarola ticket in Milan.
If you are staying in Manarola, buy a Cinq Terre pass which covers entrance to the park and the trains, including Monterosso to Mamarola. I thing it is vaod for 5 or 7 days. Don't know if you can buy this in Milan, but you can in Monterosso.
