On November 7th myself and 3 elderly ladies need to travle from Madrid to Malaga to catch a cruise ship that departs on Nov 9th. Where can I find the schedules and prices ? How can I purchase tickets in advance or should we buy them when we get to Madrid ? I was told that Rail Europe was overpriced. Is that correct ?Any advice will we appreciated. Thanks in advance !!!

You can purchase your tickets in advance at the Spanish national rail service, RENFE. Don't worry...there will be enough English to get you through your purchase. Their "Web" fares are up to 60 per cent off, while their "Estrella" fares are 40 per cent off. This system will allow you to print your tickets at home....ready to board. One of the booking pages asks for an ID number under "Type of Document." St it to "other" and use your passport or driver's license number....something you'll be carrying with you. I just purchased tickets for that same run on the same day, so maybe we'll see you aboard!
