I'm planning my July trip for train travel using the schedules on the bahn.hafas web-site. Months ago there was a direct 4 hour train that I was planning on. Now the site shows no trains on that route for my July date. I can't believe it! Are they updating the schedules for the summer? Will this change? Panic...

No need to panic. New train timetables throughout Europe will go into effect in mid June. The times should change by only a few minutes, if at all. Enter a dummy date prior to June for the day of the week you wish to travel. The timetables you get and the ones for your July date will probably be identical.

Lori, you can see this run on the Swiss train website. It's www.sbb.ch/en/index.htm. You can even purchase this ticket on the Swiss website since its a run originating in Switzerland. The cost would be 53.03Euros.

Thanks Tim and Larry. I found the Swiss sight you suggested and am planning my routes....will even buy tickets ahead of time to save bucks....all is well...
