train from Geneva to Berlin

This summer I will be traveling from Geneva to Berlin. We can fly for cheap, but I am thinking about taking the day train. Has anyone done this? How is the scenery? Not concerned about the time it will take. Thanks for any comments

If you book ASAP (up to 92 days allowed) on the German Rail. site, you can get a Europa-Spezial Schweiz fare as low as €39.00 for some, but not all, departure times. You will have to make at least one connection in Basel.
