I was curious what the most efficient way to get from Geneva to Barcelona was? We are wanting to either take a night train on the 21st of this month (july) and arrive the next day on the 22nd. We would also consider flying cheaply on the 22nd, but we just don't know where to look. Thanks for your help! Travis

A quick look at the Swiss rail site http://fahrplan.sbb.ch/bin/query.exe/en shows there are night trains on this route with no changes, but not on your desired travel day. For flights, look at http://www.skyscanner.com/. A quick look shows that EasyJet has 3 nonstops on July 22nd on this route, costing from $129 to $159 if you book now (prices go up if you wait). I emphasize "quick looks" because I didn't really poke around on those sites, but they are good ones to use for further information.

There is a direct night train between Geneva and Barcelona, but the schedule for the train won't work for you. It only runs Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. If you were to travel during the day, you would need to make several connections and the fare won't be cheap. You've waited way too long to get discount fares. Your best option is to fly non-stop on easyJet. Pay close attention to the luggage number, weight, and size limits and the strict check-in deadline.
