I have read there is some significant rail line renovation between Frankfurt and Munich. Has anyone encountered problems or delays traveling by rail from the Frankfurt airport to Munich? I'm looking to take the most direct route which I think goes through Nuremberg.

Any changes in the schedule due to construction projects will be reflected in Deutsche Bahn's on-line schedules. A red Triangle will also indicate any possible service disruptions.
From what I can see, the service takes an extra hour this coming Fri, Sat, Sun, and the following Sunday.

The departure times are earlier in order to meet your desired arrival time as they know people have to make connections. Just try a search to book your ticket and look at your options.
