what detailed advice do you have for traveling from Rome’s FCO airport to the port of Civitavecchia? Plane does not arrive until after 2PM. All the advice I have found so far is very dated here. Thank you in advance

Just put in Fiumicino Aeroporto to Civitavecchia, date and time.
Thank you that works. Just need to wait a while to purchase the tickets. The website said departure date must be 6 months or less to purchase. Very helpful
hey hey dparrish1
where is your plane arriving from after 2pm and what is the date? is that the same day/afternoon your cruise departs from civitavecchia?
if so, you are cutting way too close for my comfort. what happens if you flight is delayed and arrives later? train could take 1+ to 2 hours, going through passport & immigration may take longer than you expect or you may breeze on through, luck of the draw.
my own opinion would get the FCO (rome) day or two ahead of cruise. it's your trip and your decision. good luck

There is no need to buy tickets in advance. This is mass transit. Just head to the train station at FCO and once there buy a ticket to Civitavecchia.
...is that the same day/afternoon your cruise departs from civitavecchia?
Agree with princess pupule 100%. A same day arrival in Rome and departure from Civitacecchia does not give you any room for any type delay. Remember Murphy's Law. Strongly suggest you get to Rome at least on day before the cruise departs.
