Do I have to buy train tickets from Cologne to Amsterdam as soon as they became available in order to get the best price? We are a group of 7 people. I bought our other train tickets 92 days out, but read that this is unnecessary for this portion of our trip. The train is so frequent that the price is the same whether we purchase them now or the day is what I've read.
Does anyone know if this accurate or should I buy the train tickets now?

The standard fare tickets will be the same no matter when you buy them, but the discount fares are only available if you purchase them 3 days in advance (and I think the purchase has to be online). The discount fares start at €19 pP, but the lowest fares do sell out. For next Thursday all that is left is €34 pP.
