Train from Budapest to Krakow

Hello!
This July I'll be staying in Budapest from July 5-8, then travelling to Krakow for a couple days. The thing is, I've already got accommodations booked for Krakow, July 8-10, and Budapest is booked as well. From what I've been seeing though, trains mainly travel between the two at night? Does anybody happen to know if there would be a train that leaves in the morning instead?

Thanks,
Lexie

Yes, but you would have to change trains. Check Deutsche Bahn website for schedule. There is one direct train which is overnight.

The best daytime train schedule is 10 hours with 2 connections, departing 11:25 and arriving 21:10, certainly not impossible. Or there's the direct overnight train, which cuts less into your sightseeing time, but requires modifying the hotel reservation. It would be best to buy this train ticket when you arrive in Budapest, or an earlier city on your trip.
