Has anyone taken the train from Barcelona to Arles? I went to the link http://www.bahn.de/international/view/en/index.shtml and entered my departure place as Barcelona Sants and arriving in Arles, however the system said I could not reserve online. How do I make a reservation? (I do have the eurail pass) Or would it be ok just to make the reservation when I got to Barcelona (3 days prior to departing to Arles)?
Any info I would really appreciate!!!

The DB timetables show more than one route for Barcelona-Arles. If you depart from Barcelona Sants, you can travel all the way on regional trains and you won't need any seat reservations. If you take a Talgo train from Barcelona Franca to Montpellier, you'll need to buy a seat reservation for that leg. You should be OK buying it when you get to Barcelona.

Thanks for the info! How can I tell from the train schedules whether or not it's regional train? That would be great not to have to pay for a reservation!

On the DB site, after you get summary timetables for Barcelona-Arles, click on the arrow to the left of each departure time. You will see the connecting points and the type of train for each leg. If a reservation is required on a particular leg, it will be noted as such.
