train from Bacharach Germany to Rothenburg

Greetings!
This is my first post - first off - thank you to all the posters for all the great information. I have been reading the boards for several months and it is really helpful.

My question is regarding rail service. I am trying to get from Bacharach Germany to Rothenburg Germany. When I do go to the German site for trains there are many options on when I type in Rothenburg. Any idea which one is the correct one? I just need to get there - not sure which one to use.

First place, type in "Rothenburg ob der Tauber Bahnhof". That will narrow it down.

If you can book early, there is a good chance you can get a Dauer-Spezial fare of €29 from Bacharach to Rothenburg, including an Express train (ICE or IC?) from Mainz to Würzburg. Total time will be about 4-1/2 hours.

Thank you SO much Lee!

I am trying to go from Amsterdam to Bacharach to Rothenburg to Reutte to Venice. From there we are traveling to the southern most tip of Italy to a litle town outside of Lecce for a Language Immersion school for three weeks. Very excited but trying to get the flow of travel to work has me pulling out my hair!
