My wife and I are planning this trip but do not know if it is possible or not.(and in one day!)We have worked out so far we can use trains. Annecy to St Gervais les bains; St Gervais les bains to Martigny (via Chamonix); Martigny to Brig; then Brig to Stresa (via Simplon tunnel)Could someone please advise some detail of this trip. The train timetables at www.bahn.de give several routes, all taking about 7 hours. Click on the flag drop-down menu for English. After you get summary timetables for Annecy-Stresa, click on "Show details for all" to see the connecting points.
