What's the best way to get from Amsterdam to Paris by train, with an emphasis on economy/good value rather than high speed? We'll be traveling only one way.

The Thalys high-speed train does this route in just over 4 hours:www.thalys.com Reservations are required and if you book early enough you can get non-refundable/non-changeable tickets for about 25 euros an print the tickets out at home. When the site asks you where you live and/or where you will be picking up your tickets, say "France" this is the only you can print tickets out at home.
