Train from Amsterdam to Milan

What are suggested fast and scenic routes from Amsterdam Schipol to Milan central train station?

There doesn't seem to be a fast route. Day trains take a little over 12 hours. Night trains take about 16 hours. To check your options, go to www.bahn.de and click on Internat. Guests at the top, for English.

I like traveling by train so I'm not sayig flying is better. However, if saving time is more important to you than seeing scenery, you have two budget airline choices. easyJet flies to Milan Malpensa and Transavia flies to Milan Orio al Serio (a fair distance from Milan).
